Thankfully, Miami Herald travel editor Jane Woolridge has some practical tips on her new blog called Exit Strategies. Here’ “One of the unspoken realities is that when you book directly with a hotel, you may get a better room than when you book with a big agency. The companies involved usually say this isn’t true, but travel experts agree that this often is the case.” Read the complete post here.

Flight Booking Goodall became famous in the 1960s for her pioneering research in Tanzania's Gombe forest, where she discovered that chimps used tools, ate meat, were sometimes violent toward other chimps and exhibited complex social behavior.

Conservationist Jane Goodall asked teachers at their state convention to join her in spreading environmental awareness, and not to let that effort be overwhelmed by the events of Sept. 11 and their aftermath.

Travel Agent In recent years, she has given up most of her field work to travel the world and promote issues of human rights and environmental sustainability through her group the Jane Goodall Institute. Last year, she spent about 300 days on the road.

The research study also demonstrates that travel agents are increasing their reliance on GDS systems for hotel information. Nearly 90% of travel agents say that they use their GDS and GDS shopping displays as much or more today than two years ago. Travel agents are less likely now to use printed hotel directories, direct mail, fax, and the phone to gather information about hotels.

Hotel Reservation Goodall, speaking to the media, criticized the environmental and energy policies of the Bush administration, which she views as wasteful and bad for imperiled species.
