International Travel Medical Sarra Feldleyfer, a 78-year-old retiree who lives on Chestnut Street near Church Road, said she has gathered 200 signatures demanding something be done to accommodate pedestrians.

New York Hotel "It's like I'm in a cage now," said Feldleyfer. "Why can't I go to buy a loaf of bread? Why can't someone let us live a normal life?"

Online Travel Booking Feldleyfer, who has lived in the area since 1981 and doesn' t drive, wants the state to install a traffic light for pedestrian crossings. DOT officials, instead, are focused on replacing the Route 38 pedestrian bridge that was knocked down by a trash truck three years ago.
