During the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in October, Detroit will introduce its new Series 60 marine engine, a four-cycle, in-line six-cylinder engine rated at 700 horsepower at 2300 rpm. The new engine is designed to uphold the performance and reliability standards that have made the Series 60 the most popular diesel engine in this continent's on-road market. The company currently produces more than 300 Series 60 engines a day for its truck, bus and construction customers and expects the engine to find wide acceptance among the pleasurecraft as well.
