Haiti's Beaches
Most of the good beaches in Haiti are north of Port-au-Prince. About 40 miles up the coast are the calm waters of Cote des Arcadins. The hotels all have bars and restaurants, and charge admission to day visitors though they are often crowded on the weekends. There are also several public beaches without hotels, and there's a nice beach at the western end of Ile de la Tortue. Coral reefs surround almost all of the beaches keeping the waters serene and good for diving and snorkeling.
