Sabre launches loyalty programmeSabre launches loyalty programmeHotel Booking Sabre Travel Network is launching MyRewards, a long-term loyalty programme designed exclusively for travel agents. At the launch of its 2007 brochure, round destination by announcing an expanded programme with new hotels, new resorts, new twin centres and new excursions. Its existing hotel and car booking incentive schemes, Sabre HotelRewards and Sabre AutoRewards, will be brought under the new MyRewards brand. 'Split Payment' On Holidays Launched For The First time Online Expedia.co.uk today becomes the first online travel agent to allow customers to split the payment on their holiday bookings in a move to give greater flexibility and choice for travellers and enabling people to travel at an affordable price. Customers booking an Expedia flight and hotel or flight, hotel and car package will be given an option to pay a deposit rather than having to find the full cost of the holiday at the time of booking, making it easier and more affordable than ever for people to let themselves go on holiday in 2006. Flight Booking To help emphasise the online aspect of the programme, travel agents will be able to earn points by completing Sabres Internet-based training and learning tutorials. Travel Agents Can Only Book My Flight and Hotel Travel agents can arrange car service, personalized tours and activities, in addition to all the basic travel services they provide. Travel Agent Using technology from Loyaltynet, the loyalty system specialist, Sabre Travel Network is able to administer MyRewards through Sabre eServices, the website it uses to service its travel agency customers. Online Booking Richard Adams, Sabre Travel Networks senior vice president in EMEA, said: A large proportion of our customer services, such as help desk, training, reporting and troubleshooting, are done electronically to save our travel agency customers time. It makes good business sense to incorporate MyRewards because the more knowledgeable agents become about Sabres reservation system the more bookings they will make.
