St. Kitts Gifted With Books for Children

Hotel Booking Over 1,500 books were given to the children of St. Kitts & Nevis during a small ceremony on Wednesday, August 1, by the passengers about the Carnival Destiny cruise ship. Blue World Travel, a San Francisco based travel agency, is the organisation that spearheaded the book drive.

Travel Agency Minister with responsibility for Education Hon. Sam Condor, accepted the donation on behalf of the children of St. Kitts and Nevis. Commenting on the donation, he said, "When you give a child a book, you give a gift for life. If we are to develop and grow as a people and as a country we have to read. That is the foundation and source of knowledge. Our nation is grateful for this gift".

Although travel agents have access to all of the same outlets you would use when looking to book travel, they also have access to exclusive pricing and package deals that are most times not available to the public. Your travel agent also has more leverage in helping out in situations such as hotels claiming to be booked, when in fact they may still have rooms available that are on hold for travel agents reservations. So when everyone else is telling you “No” your travel agent can help turn that to a “Yes.”

Cheap Hotel In return for their kind deed, the Hon. Sam Condor gave a painting of Brimstone Hill, to the representatives of Blue World Travel. The art piece is the work of local painter, L.W. Young. Cruise ship passengers were also treated to a special performance by the Okolo Tegremantine drummers.

There's also St.kitts only 40 minutes away on a ferry, and the nightlife there is pretty hoppin.

Flight Booking Peggy Presley of Blue World Travel said,

Hotel Chicago Passengers collected the books prior to setting sail aboard the ship. The donated books will be given to schools and other learning institutions in St. Kitts & Nevis.
