Hotel Booking John Drinkard, 48, who served as the township's second-in-command last year, was sworn in Monday night to replace Mark Sanchirico as Mount Laurel's mayor. Councilwoman Geraldine Nardello will serve as deputy mayor in 2004. Officials' goals for this year include continuing open space purchases, looking at what that open space can be used for and establishing an environmental education center.

London Hotel Booking That goal came to fruition.

Discount Travel Mount Laurel's hotel tax took effect on Oct. 1, although the township has yet to see any money coming from it. The rationale for the tax was that it will pay for the municipal services that hotel guests make necessary, such as street repairs, or fire and ambulance service.

Orlando Hotel Township officials also hope the 1 percent local tax offsets future property tax increases. It could generate $1 million in its first year, officials have said.

Booking Agency "We still don't have a handle on what the tax will turn into," Sanchirico said.

International Travel Medical There are 2,500 hotel rooms in the township and plans for more are to come. Only two other New Jersey municipalities - Newark and Atlantic City - have more hotel rooms.
