Travel Agency Yesterday, Essex County Executive Joseph DiVincenzo Jr. delivered close to 500 used cell phones to the Regional School-Essex campus in Newark, a state-run school for children with severe mental and physical disabilities. The school will sell the phones to the FundingFactory, a Pennsylvania company that pays nonprofit groups and schools as much as $5 per recycled phone.

Cheap Hotel In February, the county Department of Corrections donated 400 phones confiscated from inmates at the Essex County Jail and never claimed, earning the school more than $1,100 for specialized walkers and electronic devices that help the children communicate.

Flight Booking The school has now set its sights on a new $40,000 playground, a formidable task for a school that receives only the most basic funding from the state Department of Human Services, said Principal Dale Greenfield. Travel Agent "When I was here in February I made a commitment that we would collect phones from people throughout Essex County," DiVincenzo said. "This is one of my programs that's close to my heart. ... We're going to do this every year."
