Delta Air Lines Begins Interline Electronic Ticketing with United Airlines

Hotel Booking Delta Air Lines have announced it will begin interline electronic ticketing with United Airlines, extending the convenience of electronic ticketing to customers who travel on Delta and United in the same itinerary. This enhancement, which will launch Aug. 14, 2002, facilitates Delta`s efforts to create customer-focused technology solutions that reduce hassle and add convenience for its customers.

Travel Agency "Today, more than 77 percent of Delta customers worldwide take advantage of electronic ticketing. It is the most convenient way to buy airline tickets because there is no paper ticket to misplace, forget or have stolen," said Lee Macenczak, senior vice president - Sales & Distribution. "And, to add to that convenience, customers now have the flexibility of changing itineraries between Delta and United without exchanging their electronic ticket for a paper ticket."

Cheap Hotel Delta anticipates it will expand interline electronic ticketing technology with several other major U.S. carriers in late 2002 and early 2003. Additionally, development is in progress to extend interline electronic ticketing issuance capability to the travel agency community via the global distribution systems throughout 2002 and early 2003.

For members redeeming an award on a partner airline, connecting travel will be provided by Alaska Airlines or Horizon Air to the nearest gateway city of the airline partner at no additional charge. Connecting flights should be requested and reserved at the time the award travel is booked and ticketed. Travel is for connection purposes only and subject to availability.

Flight Booking Interline electronic tickets can be issued by Delta or United Airlines through their individual reservation centres, airports and ticket office locations. This product will be available for all Delta and United flights in electronic ticketing-eligible markets including Delta Connection and United Express flights.

Rail inclusive breaks can be booked on line for most of our UK accommodation. Rail may be booked without hotel accommodation to certain UK airport stations only if you are going onto travel outside of the UK. Please note that you may be asked to produce either your flight tickets or your Superbreak confirmation by ticket inspectors. Bookings must not be made for travel within 3 working days of booking as tickets are despatched from our office and cannot be collected at rail stations. Some rail inclusive offers that feature in our brochures cannot be booked on line and you need to call us to add these offers to your booking. please check before traveling.

Once an airline ticket is issued based on your order (whether booked in connection with a Package or as a Travel Component), such terms and conditions of the airlines will apply and we may increase the minimum charge pursuant to Article 7.1 in order to cover such additional charges.
