Mansfield Considers 181 New HomesHotel Booking A two-decade housing boom may continue with another development in the southwest portion of the township. A developer withdrew its Planning Board application Monday for 93 homes along Petticoat Bridge Road. Meanwhile, a state Department of Environmental Protection hearing tomorrow could pave the way for the same developer, Calton Homes, to build 181 luxury homes on 200 acres near the Springfield border. Online Booking "If there's a significant change in the nature of development, a developer has to go back to square one and start again," Hardt said. Travel Health Insurance Phil Seaton, attorney for Calton, said the decision to withdraw its application was due to lawsuit settlement discussions with the township and DEP. Hotel Reservation Those settlement discussions will continue at a hearing tomorrow night at the county landfill, in the New Jersey Eco-Center, on Florence-Columbus Road. London Hotel Booking Calton's request to connect its 181 proposed homes to the sewer system of the Homestead development was denied by the DEP. Calton then filed a federal lawsuit against the county and DEP, demanding the sewer connection. Discount Travel Gillespie said the DEP was considering allowing that connection as part of a settlement, but township officials want to use Homestead's extra sewerage capacity to replace failing septic systems in the Columbus section of town. Orlando Hotel Calton has not started construction on the 88 approved homes because its plans for those include public sewerage.
