Should I buy a marine CD player for my boat or will any model do?

Question:

I was thinking about putting a new CD player in my boat. Should I buy a marine model or will any do? I boat on the Ohio River and have no plans to try the salty waters.

Definitely go with a marine stereo. In salt or fresh water, the humidity is tough on the fine electrical panels. Pay a little more and do the job just once. We'd go for one of those Sirius-ready Clarion units and leave the CDs at home.
