Hotel Chicago Itronics managed to raise $3.4 million in 1999 and began developing plans for the world's first photochemical plant to manufacture liquid fertilizers. Since then the company has managed to clear environmental hurdles to produce usable fertilizer out of the chemical wastes developed from film processing, and more importantly, to develop markets for those products. Online Booking Itronics released revenue figures on January 11, 2005 of its GOLD'n GRO liquid fertilizer sales by its subsidiary, Itronics Metallurgical, Inc. of $1,020,000, an 84 percent increase over the prior year total. Dr. John Whitney, Itronics President, hinted at his company's bullish expectations for the coming year in that announcement. "GOLD'n GRO sales are expected to expand significantly again in 2005 due to increased sales of new products introduced in 2004 and because of geographic expansion of sales of the most popular products into Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and several northeastern states." Travel Health Insurance Though Whitney mentioned the north east, readers that were familiar with his company were watching on-going developments in the states of Oregon, Idaho and Washington. Discount Travel Whitney said that his company is looking into a qualified bulk distributor for New York and New Jersey in the agricultural markets, though no information was given as to whether or not Itronics was close to inking a deal there.
